After graduating high school and attending college, the call to Dj was stronger than ever and once again bringing him to the world of lost parties, after hours, and raves. Sparked by this new found life in Chicagos music scene Andre Harris was determined to be deeply involved. In 1993, he earned a Friday night residency at Club Medusas, where he was recognized for his skill and knowledge of the soulful harder side of house music. I now have my Associates Degree and am now in the first quarter of my Bachelors in Game Design. My group, the same 4 guys from the last video, designed a game concept about a year ago. We've been tweaking and thinking on it for a while. For our Capstone Project, the final project of the entire course, we decided to make a Teaser Trailer for it. It's called "slapdash Odyssey" and it's totally awesome. Not to sound egotistical. I just mean that we are very proud of it and simply making the trailer was a joy. Info on the game: It is a side scrolling Beat 'em Up with four playable characters. Up to four player can play simultaneously on the same screen. Think of it like Streets of Rage or Final Fight, but with 3D graphics. The four characters are each representative of a style of movie. Neelsen Grey is a film noir style detective. Kawasaki Joe is a stealthy ninja assassin. Flint Westwood is a rough and tumble cowboy. Juice Leroy is an afro kung fu monk. Now, the "game" right now is just a concept . The only think about it we have is documents with descriptions of characters, stages and enemies. Drawings of the 4 characters, their 4 girlfriends who they must save (unfortunately not featured in the video) and over 50 enemies. And this video is the only 3D representation of the game we've created ...

"They Don't Care About Us" is the fourth single from Michael Jackson's album history: Past, Present and Future, Book I. © 1996 MJJ Productions Inc. *Spike Lee (Do the Right Thing) was the one who came to MJ with the request to make the music video for They Dont Care About Us, a sort of protest song off the history album. The duo went to the slums of Rio de Janeiro, where they enlisted the cultural group Olodum to participate in the filming of the video, which was controversial in Brazil for the possibility that it would hurt Rios image. Lee and MJ ended up collaborating on a second music video for They Dont Care About Us, which is set in a prison but is also more of a montage-type spot, involving footage of global injustices. This video was the final project for my class Film Soundtracks. The assignment was to edit clips from multiple films and set it to a song of the student's choice to examine the impact of the score. I used clips from Afro Samurai, Afro Samurai Resurrection and Ghost Dog due to the overarching themes of racial identity and samurai culture. The song is Memory Loss by Deltron 3030 and is used to bring out the themes of racial identity and the politics of remembering apparent in each film. Windows Movie Maker XP was used to edit the piece.
