Global Sampling Molino & Stawarz Die gemeinsame Sprache von „Global Sampling beruht auf den vielseitigen musikalischen Traditionen und Erfahrungen der Musiker bei dem gleichzeitigem Bestreben nach einem freien und ungebundenem Umgang mit diesen Traditionen, koloriert mit kompositorischen und improvisatorischen Elementen aus der amerikanischen und europäischen Musik. Eine Besonderheit von Global Sampling sind die Sounds, die Andreas Molino bei den Konzerten von seinem Laptop abruft. Diese Sounds entstanden zum Beispiel durch das Hämmern auf Stahlkonstruktionen; in diesem Fall sind sie ein Spiel des Echos in den außergewöhnlichen und akustisch einzigartigen Gebäuden einer stillgelegten Zeche. Jedes Stück bringt für die Musiker eine neue Herausforderung. Es geht um die Balance zwischen akustischem und digitalem Groove, um Harmonie und Präzision, um außergewöhnliche Klangkombinationen, um eine dynamische Inszenierung zwischen Percussion, Geige und Sampling, - umgesetzt in Arrangements und Improvisationen. Radek Stawarz stammt aus Galizien in Polen und lebt seit zehn Jahren in Köln. Er ist mit seiner Violine und Viola nach dem Studium auf der Schlesischen Universität für klassische Musik in Kattowitz, Polen, und der Musikhochschule Köln fester Bestandteil der Kölner Improvisationsszene. Strut's Afrostrut label has slowly been uncovering a mine of Afro funk gold from the dusty vaults of Lagos, Nigeria. Some of the music has never been heard outside of Africa, some has never been heard at all, recorded but never released. Such is the case with Peter King's lost album, Shango. The album is a lost classic with hard Afro-funk dancefloor bombs sitting alongside more reflective, downtempo ghetto psychedelia. The lyrics are hard-hitting, borrowing the 'no sell out' messages of black power USA and the musicianship on the album is incredible - great players all locked into layers of rough Afro percussion. Ediciones ryr presenta el segundo CD de Río Rojo: PODEMOS GANAR Música piquetera (vol. 2) Tema: La pura verdad (milonga porteña) con Bernardo Baraj como invitado en flauta traversa. Al igual que su primer CD, el disco está dividido en 3 partes que representa un viaje profundo por nuestra historia reciente. Al mismo tiempo, Río Rojo recorre gran cantidad de géneros musicales provenientes de distintas latitudes. Por un lado, se destacan los temas de inspiración rioplatense como La pura verdad (milonga porteña), Escuché esta canción (murga porteña) y Ponga un pie en su destino (candombe). Otros poemas han sido musicalizados con aires folclóricos, como El juego en que andamos (chacarera simple) y Por los caminos van los campesinos (milonga campera). No faltan tampoco los temas de rock: desde un reggae, pasando por un rock bien 70s, funk rock, hasta un heavy metal clásico. Por último, hay temas con raíces latinoamericanas como una guajira y son cubano, una cumbia, hasta un ritmo afro-caribeño llamado souk. En este nuevo CD, Río Rojo musicaliza poemas de grandes escritores. Por un lado, nueve escritores argentinos, varios de ellos desaparecidos. Por otro, poetas latinoamericanos, soviéticos y europeos. Estan ahora a mediados de los años 70's.....es el año de 1974 y estos son otros clásicos más de la radio......de RADIO EXITOS o RADIO CAPITAL.....algunas estaciones que según me comentaron eran de esos tiempos. Un año de Rock, Pop y un poco de Dance. Entre los más grandes exponentes de la música en ese año tenemos a Stevie Wonder quien comenzaba con un estilo semi-funk. George Harrison quien cosechaba algunos temas que tal vez no sean Dance pero aún así demostraba que mucho había aprendido al ser uno de los Beatles. Elton John es otra de las figuras setenteras que ya he comentado mucho en videos pasados, aunque este tema es una bella Balada Pop que en los 90's re-interpretaría al lado de George Michael. Neil Sedaka todavía alcanzó a lanzar un HIT cuando todo mundo sabemos que este señor es perfectamente ubicable en los inicios de los 60's. Grover Washington Jr. es un saxofonista con un estilo de Jazz exquisito.....de verdad a este señor no podía dejarlo ir de ésta enorme recopilación de temas. Terry Jacks.....¿que habrá sido de él?....no lo se sinceramente.... pero vaya legado que dejó en 1974 con estos 2 temas......y juraría que la mayoría de los que lleguen a este video reconocerían con facilidad el nombre de dichas canciones.
