After graduating high school and attending college, the call to Dj was stronger than ever and once again bringing him to the world of lost parties, after hours, and raves. Sparked by this new found life in Chicagos music scene Andre Harris was determined to be deeply involved. In 1993, he earned a Friday night residency at Club Medusas, where he was recognized for his skill and knowledge of the soulful harder side of house music. It wasnt long before patrons and employees started getting him guest appearances at various venues around the city like Red Dog, Neo, Cairo, and Smart Bar to name a few, all while still promoting his own events. In 1996 Andre earned another residency at Club Elixir on Friday nights. Yet this was not enough, Andre was ready to produce music so in 1997 his first project I Cant Take It/Aint it a Groove was released on Cajual Records, receiving good press in Mix Magazine. This single was licensed for the Taste of Cajual mix CD mixed by friend and DJ Mark Grant. In 1998 Pecking Peace/Lifted was also released on Cajual Records to rave reviews in Mix Magazine & XLR8R Magazine. That year would prove to be a good year for Andre Harris: with two weekly club residencies, many guest appearances around Chicago, the Chicago Tribune naming his Friday night gig at Elixir one the Hottest nights in the City of Chicago, and Mix Magazine naming Andre as one of the Hardest working men in House Music. This one goes out to the pick gnomes that stole my picks and made me use my fingers. I used my newly aquired yamaha psr-e403 keyboard for all tracks except guitar. The main riff is just a two handed thing that I came up a while ago. Alot of people said that it's catchy so I decided to make a song. This was a great opportunity to further explore my keayboards capabilities. Like with all the tunes I upload - it's just a demo But this time the only thing that is missing is a better transition to the last part and some guitar stuff over that same part. This is NOT a serious song. I made this to work on my keyboard recording/composing and to all of my friends at school that like that two handed tapping tune PS. Some tracks are rythmicaly off at times. That's cause I moved the tracks around and messed some **** up.
