Protective style for twa, first synthetic ponytail puff. I am luv-luv-luvin this style! It will be a staple style along with 2 strand twists until my hair grows to this length. Great tip from Zaharam2 is to use brown styling gel to help darken your hair if your natural hair is dark brown.

I've been natural for 5 years now and here is my natural hair journey. I BC'd (big chopped) on 2 Dec 2004. I did not transition. Just fooling around. Excuse the faces, its late and I'm pretty tired :) I am going to an awards ceremony in April for my bf's Smooth Jazz Award Nomination and wanted to wear my hair big. Came up with this style. What do you think Youtube? Finger combed my day 3 hair (only has shea butter and coconut oil in) Divide hair in 2, secure whichever side you want your puff on, then section the opposite side in two (top and bottom) and add the bottom half into the puff as well. Twist the remaining hair to the ends and secure with a bobby pin in a pin curl above the puff. You will have to adjust the puff so that it ends up underneath the pin curl, but you will figure that out for yourself. Smooth down edges and if needed pin bangs.
