Global Sampling Molino & Stawarz Die gemeinsame Sprache von „Global Sampling beruht auf den vielseitigen musikalischen Traditionen und Erfahrungen der Musiker bei dem gleichzeitigem Bestreben nach einem freien und ungebundenem Umgang mit diesen Traditionen, koloriert mit kompositorischen und improvisatorischen Elementen aus der amerikanischen und europäischen Musik. Eine Besonderheit von Global Sampling sind die Sounds, die Andreas Molino bei den Konzerten von seinem Laptop abruft. Diese Sounds entstanden zum Beispiel durch das Hämmern auf Stahlkonstruktionen; in diesem Fall sind sie ein Spiel des Echos in den außergewöhnlichen und akustisch einzigartigen Gebäuden einer stillgelegten Zeche. Jedes Stück bringt für die Musiker eine neue Herausforderung. Es geht um die Balance zwischen akustischem und digitalem Groove, um Harmonie und Präzision, um außergewöhnliche Klangkombinationen, um eine dynamische Inszenierung zwischen Percussion, Geige und Sampling, - umgesetzt in Arrangements und Improvisationen. Radek Stawarz stammt aus Galizien in Polen und lebt seit zehn Jahren in Köln. Er ist mit seiner Violine und Viola nach dem Studium auf der Schlesischen Universität für klassische Musik in Kattowitz, Polen, und der Musikhochschule Köln fester Bestandteil der Kölner Improvisationsszene. This is a Video of myself recording Drums on another one of my tunes, presently Known as 'Plaything'. I initially wrote this back in 2000 whilst playing with a Manchester based band called 'Cuchillo'. Later on in 2002, having left the Band, I presented a bare bones midi mix of this to a Singer Songwriter called Debbie Allen, and within three days, she conjured this amazing lyric! I then programmed and recorded everything but the Drumkit on a Sound Engineering / Music Production Course in 2002, and then finally 7 years later, I got round to buying some budget pro audio equipment to record Drums, and here's the result ! It's not the finished article, as I want to get some 'Live' Bass recorded and I am still a novice in the Music Production / Engineering field! However the PAP SOUND QUALITY GENUINLY IS THANKS TO YOUTUBE AND THEIR VIDEO UPLOAD AUDIO PROCESSING TECHNIQUES!! I didn't realise when I was writing the Tune, that the Groove is partly a kind of an Afro-Cuban Timba Groove, in that during the first meausure of every two measures, on the Bass Drum I play the 'e' of 1, the 2, and the 'and' of 2, to complement the Bass Line. So then, after listening to, and being Blown away by Cuban Timba Drummers such as Jimmy Branly and Samuel Formell, I decided to throw 2:3 Rumba Clave into the mix, which I play with the Left Hand on the Hats, my Second Snare, my 'macho' Bongo Drum and Snare1, during the Choruses. The theme is "Dance". Shoon and Takada took a lesson in Soul Dance, and it was so funny! Maybe the two of them were chosen for this because they're fast learners and great dancers. In my opinion, Shoon was undoubtedly the greatest dancer in Ya-Ya-yah. Shoon and Takada wore afro wigs and 70s clothes and danced to 70s songs. Shoon is so hilarious! His expressions, the way he talks and how deep he gets into the character just cracks me up! ~ Since my Japanese is just so-so, I dont sub any Hyakushiki except for some small clips, but if there is someone out there whose willing to translate,please contact me.I will gladly sub these Hyakushiki videos ^^

From the EPIC Paladin Charge! LP. From Prog Archives.com: PALADIN were formed in 1970 by drummer Keith Webb and keyboard player Pete Soley. Having toured with the ROLLING STONES as backing musicians, they decided the time was right to unleash their own creativity. Ex WORLD OF OZ bassist Peter Beckett, GLASS MENAGERIE/GRISBY DYKE keyboard player Lou Stonebridge, and GRISBY DYKE guitarist Derek Floey were brought in to complete the line up. Initially, the band's influences were jazz, Latin, soul, blues, afro-Cuban, the dual keyboards creating a unique sound. They list their early fans as including Jon ANDERSON (YES). After building a credible live reputation, the band signed for Gerry Brons Bronze label, and recorded their first album "live" in the studio. The album includes early examples of World and Rap (!), but failed to make much of an impression, and consequently is now rare and collectable in vinyl format. The follow up album "Charge!" was released a year later. It had an excellent Roger Dean sleeve, and represented a major improvement on the rather lacklustre debut album. "Charge!" explored interesting progressive rock areas, combining folk influences ("Watching The World Pass By") with rock and roll ("Well We Might"), and psychedelic rock ("Mix Your Mind With The Moonbeams").
